Phase 3 Guidance

Updates

What to Expect in Phase 3 at Louisiana Family Fitness

Phase 3 to begin Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

New Hours of Operation are as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 4:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 4:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

What to expect when entering the facility—
Masks:
Are still required, as per state mandate in public areas. Masks must be worn when entering/exiting the facility and anytime you are moving about through the facility. Mask can be pulled down under your chin while performing exercises (treadmill, stationary weight machines, free weight exercise, etc.), but must be slipped back up when moving to a different exercise.

Scheduling:
Is highly suggested to ensure you have a spot in your desired area. However, it is not mandatory for weight rooms or cardio room, as long as we are not at our capacity for those areas. We will still require scheduling for Pools, Basketball, Racquetball, and Cycling areas, as the capacity limit is much less for these.

Upon entering the building, you will be asked two questions regarding COVID-19 as part of our routine screening process.

Members will be required to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering and leaving the facility. Members will also be required to sanitize the equipment they come into contact with using the disinfectant spray and paper towels provided. We are continuously working to keep the facility clean and free of viral/bacterial agents. We are using hospital grade cleaning supplies to keep you safe and healthy.

Due to the Governor’s restrictions, we can only accommodate up to 75% occupancy, if the room allows enough space to social distance at 6’. The areas that are opened in phase 3 are Weight Rooms, Cardio Room, Tennis, some indoor fitness classes (schedule found weekly at lobby door), Outdoor Swimming Pool (Laps only and 8 member capacity), Basketball (2 member capacity, no 1v1, and must use opposite goals), Racquetball (2 capacity), and Indoor Pool (6 capacity for Individual water exercise). Limitations and number of occupants for each area will be posted.

Not Opened in Phase 3:

  • Child Care
  • 24-Hour facility access
  • Congregate recreational swimming (must be 15 or older)
  • Wet Areas including sauna, steam room, and whirlpool

Customers can only use one piece of equipment at a time. There will be no super-setting, circuits, or spotting. You are encouraged to bring your own water or buy some from snack bar, as water fountains are closed.

We appreciate you adhering to these rules during this time. Our goal is to get people in and out in a timely, safely, and orderly manner to ensure that we can accommodate as many members as possible. We ask you to please respect our process and work with us, as we are doing the best that we can to keep our members and staff safe. We recommend that people who are more vulnerable or at ‘high-risk’ for COVID-19, as identified by the CDC, take extra precautions or refrain from use of the facility or any public facilities during Phase 3.
